RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE MINISTRY

For well over 20 years First Lutheran has sponsored Red Cross Blood Drives. Currently we have three drives each year. Each drive often involves distributing 200 to 300 leaflets to homes in the neighborhood. Many phone calls are made, as well as other publicity. Through the years our donor list, in addition to our members, has grown to include our school parents, and people from the community. Our young people know when they reach age 17 they are going to be “asked” to donate. Some of our older members donate well into their 80’s.

This ministry is truly an outreach into our community.
